When used with the IDE-30-495 tool, the wire is precision cut flush with the modular plug’s face, thanks to its patented design that prevents accidental contact between adjacent conductors or with the mating jack. This connector features an integrated metal shell and a cable strain clip that ensures a continuous path for cable shielding, allowing the cable to pass through the connector and into the device’s shielded port. It includes internal shield connection points on both the top and bottom for the cable foil or drain wire to make contact within the plug.
