The Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) is a new mobile interface that is designed to directly connect tablets, smartphones, and other portable electronics to high-definition televisions and displays. MHL makes it possible to send the audio and video signals through the micro USB connector and convert it to an HDMI signal for use on HDTVs. No quality is lost with this transmission because the audio and video signals stay in digital format throughout the conversion.

Use this MHL adapter to connect any device that is MHL compliant such as an HTC Evo 3D or HTC Flyer, to your HDTV. It supports all video resolutions, including 1080p, and up to 8 channels of audio (for 7.1 surround sound). This adapter also supports 3D video and HDCP media protection.

Some devices, such as an HTC Evo 3D, will supply sufficient power to drive this adapter from their internal batteries. For other devices, or in the event you want to charge your device while using this adapter, you can simply plug your charger into the micro USB port on the side of the adapter.
